TODAY:

• National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) recognizes the contributions made by Hispanics to the United States and celebrates their heritage and culture.  President Lyndon Johnson proclaimed Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 and President Ronald Reagan expanded it to a month in 1988.  In celebration, we will have a trivia question each day.  Please place your answer in the jar outside Sonya's office.  A winner will be drawn each day (for a prize) and a grand-prize winner on Friday will receive a $10 gift certificate.  Voting will close at 12:40 so please guess early. Friday’s Trivia Question: Give the answer to this math problem in Spanish.  It must be written out correctly in Spanish. Veintiuno y tres son_____________.
• Band Members: Be here at 6:15 Friday for pep band.  
• NHS is sponsoring the annual Powder Puff football game at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 12^th. All are invited. Free will donation/Concessions available.

• FCA 5^th Quarter following home football game until 11:00.
• No-Vo-Tech – Staff Dev: Students need to be here by 11:24.
• HS FB vs. Stewartsville Home 7 pm, Senior Night (Parents be her no later than 6:30 pm)/Pep Band

• HS Girls CC at Kearney 9 am, leave the school at 6:30 am. JV Girls race at 9 am and Varsity Girls race at 10 am.
• Robotics Club meeting 9 am in the library.

Monday:

• Powderpuff football game 6:30 pm.
• HS Girls BB meeting 2^nd lunch shift in the library.

Tuesday:

• Flu Clinic 7:30 am. Available to anyone 18 and up, please let Tabitha know if you want one and she will get you on the list. You may also get the Dtap if you would like. Cost is $20 without insurance or we can copy and bill your insurance. 
• HS CC at Mound City 4:30 pm.

Wednesday:

• FFA Amazing Acres 6 pm. Cookout and night-time corn maze.

Thursday:

• My Success Event – Sophomores
• HS Girls CC at Mount Ayr 5 pm

Friday:

• 1^st Quarter Ends
• HS FB vs. N. Andrew Away 7 pm, bus leaves at 5:30 pm.

OTHER:  

• FCA: Fields of Faith Sunday, October 18^th at NW 3 pm.
