New Immunization Requirements for 2016-17 School Year
ATTENTION Parents of 7th and 11th grade students:
South Nodaway R-IV Health Services would like to make you aware that the State of Missouri has new immunization requirements for the 2016-17 school year.
Beginning August 2016:
Grade 8 – All eighth grade students are required to have Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines.
Grade 12 – All seniors are required to have 2 doses of the Meningococcal vaccine unless the first dose was administered to a student who was 16 years of age or older, in which case only one dose is required.
This notice is to give you ample time to see that your student(s) have received the required immunization before the beginning of the 2016-17 school year. Your child may receive this vaccine from your doctor, health clinic, or the Nodaway County Health Department. The Nodaway County Health Department will be coming to school April 13th to give these immunizations. If you would like to get your child signed up for that please contact Tabitha.
When your student has received this vaccine, please provide proof of immunization to your school nurse. This must be provided before the beginning of the 2016-17 school year.
