Student of the Month - Health Science - NW Technical School
Congratulations to Kaci Billings on receiving Student of the Month at NW Technical School.
I am nominating Kaci as a student of the month because of the following:
a. leadership/team work-She is president of the AM class for the first semester and has filled the role of president for the AM SkillsUSA. She is active with NTHS and although she has to drive to Maryville to help out with the Valentine's Day fundraiser, she did so with enthusiasm and stayed late to help me pick up the flowers at Hy-Vee.
b. generosity-She is always willing to contribute to anything that the class agrees on- treats for class, money for our Christmas tree project, Pennies for Patients, financial help to a classmate when her house burned down, etc
c. availability-whether it is to be in a contest, brainstorming ideas for the good of the class, helping me as her teacher in the classroom, Kaci is often the first to offer her help
d. attendance-except for 1 excused absence and 1 college visit, Kaci has been in class. She has a 98.26 attendance
e. academics-she is an A student in my class
f. clinical skills-she is fast becoming proficient in her nurse assistant skills and has good bedside manners. CNA's in the nursing home has told me that they appreciate her hard work during clinicals.
