Dear Families,
We are excited to welcome North Star Advocacy Center to our school this afternoon! Pursuant of Section 170.045 of the Missouri State Statutes, they will provide our students grades 6-12 with a trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate training on sexual abuse. The state of MO requires all schools to provide this type of training each year and this will be the 3rd year that North Star has provided this training for us.
The training will cover the following…
1. Knowledge and tools to recognize sexual abuse.
2. Knowledge and tools to report an incident of sexual abuse.
3. Actions that a student who is a victim of sexual abuse could take to obtain assistance and intervention.
4. Available resources for students affected by sexual abuse.
*If you wish to excuse your student from this training,
please contact the school at (660) 652-3727.
