Booster Club Minutes

October 9, 2012

•         Meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm with 5 members in attendance.

•         Treasurers Report – Mary Lamaster reported a balance of $640.33 in the Nodaway Valley Account and $880.73 in the school account for Booster Club. (Items purchased but not accounted for in the school balance include headsets for the football team and a catcher’s glove for the softball team. Also not included is a deposit from FFA & FBLA purchasing leftover items from Meet the Horns.)

•         Old Business

1. Spaghetti Dinner
   1. $351.50 was collected in donations.
   2. A different option will be considered for next year’s meal. Options include chili & baked potato bar or taco bar.
2. Mission Statement
   1. The following mission statement was adopted: “The mission of the South Nodaway Booster Club is to provide all possible support to the programs at South Nodaway requiring student activity fees.”
3. Stadium Seats
   1. The decision was made to not sell these as they are available at local stores.
4. Trivia Night
   1. Ragena Hilsabeck agreed to chair this event.
   2. We are looking at a possible date of January 26, 2013, but this date will need to be verified in the school office.

5. •         New Business 

6. Ball Caps/Ear Warmers/Beanies Sale
   1. Angela will check on prices, availability, etc.
7. Fall Sports Banquet
   1. Shawn Emerson will schedule and let us know the date.
   2. Cups and bowls will need to be purchased, as well as food items.
   3. We will again serve brisket and rolls.
   4. Each family will be asked to bring two side items since we have run short of food the past few banquets.
   5. Angela said Ms. Clark is approaching the Mass Media class with helping make a video to present at the banquet.

8. •         Next meeting is January 14 at 6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria.

   •         Meeting adjourned at 8:03 pm.
