TODAY:

  • Congrats to the HS Boys FB team on their Homecoming win! Congrats to the HS Boys SB-State Champs! Congrats to the 2015-16 Homecoming King and Queen: Trey and Elizabeth! Homecoming Day Winners: PJ-Maddi, Action Hero-Emily, Class Comp: 1st Juniors, 2nd Sophomores, 3rd Seniors and Spirit Day – Dalton W! 1st Place Float – Seniors, 2nd Place Float – Sophomores, 3rd Place Float – Freshmen, 4th Place Float – Juniors!
  • Docudrama – Sophomores. Leave at 8:15 am and return around 12:00 pm.
  • HS Girls SB vs. N. Nodaway Away 5 pm, bus leaves at 3:10 pm. Release students at 2:55 pm.
  • Band Members: Bring your uniform tomorrow for pictures.
  • FFA officer meeting 1st lunch shift in the Ag room, bring your lunch.
  • National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) recognizes the contributions made by Hispanics to the United States and celebrates their heritage and culture.  President Lyndon Johnson proclaimed Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 and President Ronald Reagan expanded it to a month in 1988.  In celebration, we will have a trivia question each day.  Please place your answer in the jar in Sonya's office.  A winner will be drawn each day (for a prize) and a grand-prize winner on Friday will receive a $10 gift certificate.  Voting will close at 12:40 so please guess early. Trivia Question: Name the Hispanic who received an Emmy, a Grammy, a Tony and an Oscar.  She played in "West Side Story, and now at age 83 will voice the grandmother in a new animated show, "Nina's World."
  • Band Members: You must pick up your fundraising items right after school in the music room. Please make arrangements for someone to pick up for you if you are not able! Thank you!
  • Freshmen trash bag sales begin today!
  • Sonya needs the following Senior’s pictures emailed to her no later than Thursday for Senior Night on Friday: Michael, Austin, Ean, Shelby and Creed.

 

Wednesday:

  • HS Girls SB Districts begin: SN vs. N. Andrew 6:15 pm, bus leaves at 4:30 pm.
  • School Picture retakes/Sports-Band pics. If you want retakes, let Sonya know and you will need to return your picture packet.

 

Thursday:

  • HS Girls SB Districts
  • PTO meeting 6:30 pm

 

Friday:

  • FCA 5th Quarter following home football game until 11:00.
  • No-Vo-Tech – Staff Dev: Students need to be here by 11:24.
  • HS Girls SB Districts
  • HS FB vs. Stewartsville Home 7 pm, Senior Night/Pep Band

  • Powderpuff football game 6:30 pm.

OTHER:  

  • FCA: Fields of Faith Sunday, October 18th at NW 3 pm. (More information later)
  • We will be holding a flu clinic on October 13th starting at 7:30 am. Available to anyone 18 and up, please let Tabitha know if you want one and she will get you on the list. You may also get the Dtap if you would like. Cost is $20 without insurance or we can copy and bill your insurance.
